Bactoballs

Biological Filter Material

Bactoballs are the optimum filter medium for biological filters. They can be used in trickle filters and denitrification reactors, and in larger aquaculture systems. The flat plate construction with clear paths between the plates ensure a very even distribution of water, and means that the Bactoballs will not clump or clog. The large surface area of 300 m2 /m3 allows for a high concentration of active bacterial biomass.
