The Biostar is a complete biological and mechanical filter system for aquariums up to 250 l (c. 65 gal) volume and is easily mounted as a hang on filter (4 cm, c. 1.6" capacity) outside the aquarium. The comfortable trickle filter

Trickle filter with drawer and filterfleece. The drawer is equipped with a durable rotor which spays the water evenly over the filtermaterial. There is an outlet on the drawer which enables the customer to part the incoming water. Delivery including perforated sheet as bottom cover and support.

FilterRack M

The FilterRack M contains a trickle filter with drawer and rotor (Biotower), the sedimentation- and filterfleece bags (Biobag), the Aquaflotor^® skimmer Jetskim 150. The Jetskim 150 is supplied with water out of the trickle filter and directly out of the drawer. This water is mixed with the water which is cleaned by the skimmer. By this any peaks of protein loaded water are avoided and a more continous skimming results. One or two pumps can be connected with the FilterRack M (left and right side) which pumps up the water back into the aquarium.
We recommend the Jetstream 1 as calciumreactor for the FilterRack M1.

FilterRack S

The complete filtration system for aquaria up to 700 liters

The FilterRack S contains the same components as the FilterRack M, however it was designed for smaller aquaria. It contains a smaller Biotower, smaller Biobag, a Jetskim 150 and a Calciumreactor Jetstream Pico. By continous water mixture peaks of protein load are avoided and thus skimming is improoved. A small shaft which can be filled with coral sand can be used to degase the outlet water of the calciumreactor. Pumps (one or two) can be attached on the right and left side of the Filterrack S to pump the water back into the aquarium.

FilterRack E

he complete filtration system for aquaria up to 600 l

The FilterRack E is a special version without trickle filter. The incoming water is led through a drawer through which contains a filterfleece. Below the drawer there is a Biobag unit which can be used for filtrationmaterial and functions as sedimentation bag. The skimming is done by the Jetskim 120, the calciumreactor Jetsream Pico supplies the attached tank with calciumhydrogencarbonate. There is a connection for the pump pumping the water back into the aquarium on the right side of the FilterRack E.

FilterRack R

The complete filtration system for aquaria up to 500 l

This FilterRack is equipped with 3 fleece cardridges through which the incoming water is sucked and pressed into the skimmer of the type Jetskim 120. Another part of the water is led over the trickle filtration. A foam roll mount on an axle layered on This skimmer has a spacesaving rectangular body and its pump is the Eheim 1250. The trickle filtration is managed by a roll-filter which axle is layered on durable glasball-bearings.

FilterRack i

The complete filtration system for aquaria up to 300 l

This is the first Filter-Rack to be constructed for usage within the aquarium. It is held by two devices in position (e.g. on the edge of glass) and is easily adjustable concerning its height. Water is running inside through the integrated comb into the chamber with the two fleece cardridges. The water is then pressed into the skimmer Jetskim 120 which has a spacesaving rectangular body. Installation of Filter-Rack A+S:

Installation of a Filter-Racks is quite easily done and is shown in the following piture series.

1. The Filter-Rack is hung over the the back of the aquarium. Tightening of the screws secures the position..

3. Now the Filter Rack is filled with water

4. As soon as the Flow Box is degased the water start running into the Filter Rack until the water level is even on both sides. In a further step the individual tubing is done..

The space-saving filtration system unit

This Filter-Rack saves space! It is placed outside the aquarium and enables the owner to decorate unhindered. The Filter-Rack A+S consists of the rectangular Jetskim 120 with pump, 2 filter cartridges, one Flow Box A and additional current pump. By the holding devices it can be easily mounted on the back of the aquarium. The Flow Box A , through which the water is entering the Filter-Rack, is the only part inside the aquarium.
